Good morning!  So glad it's Friday!

Today is my 'off' day again...

4:15am:  one mile jog for RW Challenge, walk 1.5 miles
5:00am:  Insanity Upper Body Strength Training

Later:  Dodgeball Tournament at 4:00pm!  We've got teams from 6th, 7th, & 8th grade.  I'm on the only teacher team--the kids are worried we're going to win, but I highly doubt we'll make it past the first few rounds!  One of the 8th grade teams named themselves The Average Joes...too funny. You know what they say...if you can dodge a wrench...!

Have a fabulous weekend!  My weekend is packed with stuff going on...still going to do my best to get my workouts in!

Probably just an easy 30 minute run today and an easy 1,200 yards in the pool.   I have a flat, fast 5k race tomorrow morning that I want to nail so today is just about staying loose.

"If you can dodge a wrench..." that is funny right there.

Yesterday's ride didn't happen when my other knee started wigging out. Try it again today, 20 miles home this afternoon. I am surprising my sister tomorrow by showing up to cheer her on at the "Sandy Claws" beach run.

Enjoy your weekend, good luck to anyone racing!

Dodgeball! Have fun. I hear ya about trying to get the workouts in.

Crazy weekend, ex is in Florida and they couldn't find anyone to watch the cats so it looks like I'm going to be driving back and forth an hour every day to either feed the cats, get my son to MMA, or school @7am on Monday. Kona party on Sunday!

Oh yeah, workouts. Did core this morning, will do Sufferfest this afternoon.

Be sure to bring warm clothing! The absence of it ruined my morning ride. What was supposed to be a nice and easy 18 miler recovery ride turned into a "pain threshold" test of 13.5mi. Ha~ Tempe, AZ.

Today was a light day in the pool. Drills, speed work, did a 400 for time, PR'd @5:50!! 5x50's hard with 10 sec rest, 3x100IMs and warmed it down with some SPL sets (11-12), quick transition into a 2 mile run for a short brick... One more run tomorrow then I FINALLY get a running rest day! :-)

Brutal spinning class, at the end of a brutal (at least for me) week.  At least tomorrow is my rest day, I can really say I earned it this time.

a nice long slow ride for 2.5 hours. havent spent as much time in the saddle lately as i have hoped for. plus i got an injection in my knee yesterday so seeing if that would impact my riding-and no issues yet.

30 minutes on the trainer getting everything working with TrainerRoad. Not a bad workout but that 20 minute test is looming over me next week.

@Sharyn5

I'm so sorry to hear that.  I was let go from a job almost two years ago.  My situation sounds similar to yours as I knew it was coming eventually and when it happened I was both relieved and in shock.

I can tell you that you will go through a wide range of emotions in the months to come, but you will be ok and things will get  better.  I'm sure since you're on this board that like me you find a lot of stress relief from your training so make sure you keep getting out there.

I know it's tough, but keep pushing through until you get to the bright end of the tunnel.

Keep us updated on how you're doing.

Was let go (not laid off) from my company today. Long time coming. I'm feeling relieved to be honest.

I am going for a run here soon. Happy Friday! Laughing

Sorry to hear that.

Horribly busy day at work today. Then we had a Christmas party/reception this evening. So I squeezed in a 15 minute run between work and the party, leaving time to shower and primp. "Long" run tomorrow. :-)

Very tough week at work over the last 7 days. I didn't work out once this week (after over 8 hours of SBR the week before).

Today was first day off, did 2 hours on the spin bike, intervals for the first 70, easy for 30, then more intervals to finish. Felt GREAT to get back in the saddle!! Also bought a variety of road nutrition, starting to work on a plan for my first HIM next summer. GU isn't nearly as bad as some people claim (of course, i'll eat anything, and spin bike in the basement is a lot different than out on the road).

Firing back up tomorrow with SBR brick.

Can I log Christmas shopping?  It's Saturday AM here; decided to blow Friday off and get my Vietnam shopping and some other errands that had to get done taken care of. Back to running and some kind of daily workouts tomorrow; enough time whimpering and lying on the couch--may have had a little virus and be a bit sore from Sunday's race but at this point, it's mostly in my head!
