Ron: Love your site! The new features are great. My wife's marathon training log has a cool feature that tracks the mileage on your shoes so you can plan shoe replacement in time to break them in before races. Sounds easy enough but then I just use these gizmos I don't program them! Keep up the great work.

Ron: I couldn't get my reply to leave the outbox so here it is...

I think each brand or model shoe is different, but the rule of thumb our marathon coach uses is replacement at around 200-300 miles. He recommends running at least 4 times in shoes before racing. Clearly you would want to replace shoes sooner running a marathon than say a 5K since most of us could run 30 minutes in basketball shoes if required. The shoe tracker in our other log only tracked mileage it didn't try to tell you when to change shoes. A cool way to do that would be to ask the replacement mileage and then view miles remaining. The other log did keep track of 2 or 3 shoes simultaneously and let you select which shoe was used for each log entry. Hope this helps!

I finally figured out that the message must stay there until you logged on. I usually get the hang of things eventually.
