Subject: specialized transition comp 2010 stock or chinese carbon TT frame with zipp wheels & sram red grpset
Having a really difficult decision on what to do I have been happy with my specialized transition, but this chinese carbon TT frame with 404 zipp wheels and sram red derailers and shifters is only 1100 dollars and lighter than my specialized. I would come out with I am hoping a $1000 profit. I am buying it from my local bike shop I have not test ridden it yet, but plan to soon. If anyone knows the durability of these chinese carbon frames please help me out to make this decision. Really what is selling me is the zipp 404 wheels, but dont feel like sacrificing my specialized for a Chinese frame that could crack easier.

You have the option to buy a bike with zipp 404's and sram red for $1100?

I don't believe you.

Agreed something doesn't make sense here.  Care to re-write.  BTW, weight really should not be an issue - the Specialized bike has been to the wind-tunnel.  The chinese carbon frame - well probably not so much.  You would be arguably slower on the new setup.

ZIPP 404 clincher wheelset - $1600 @ Tri-Sports

SRAM Red groupset - at least $1500

You may want to check that price again before you unload the Transition!

Buy it, swap the wheel set to your Spec, depending on what groupo you have now either swap or keep it. Then sell the chinese bike and now you've gotten some zipp 404's essentially for free.
