Hello, what is everyone doing to start this week? I am very happy that I was able to run for the first time in 2 weeks. I'll be testing the knee on the bike this afternoon as well, but all seems good at this point.

5:00 am - 2 miles running through the neighborhood under a clear star filled sky. Nice and cool, what a great start to the week. Looks like I'll be upping the mileage through out the week.
This afternoon will be 20 miles on the bike to get me home from work.

I hope your week starts off right!

Sweet! Glad you're back to running!

I did NOTHING today after a big weekend, and needed to.

55 mins of madness on the trainer this morning.  Masters swim tonight at 8pm.

I am taking a week off running to give my knee a chance to (hopefully) get better.

hope to hit the stationary bike some tonight if the pain subsides enough.  apparently the "cramp" during my long run was a separated rib--at least so thinks the physical therapist that was at the party with me afterwards.  grrrr.  feel like one step forward, one step back.

Good morning! The next few mornings are vacation workouts as we are visiting friends. Gettimg ready to run through some Boise neighborhoods! Taking my phone though as I am directionally challenged and will probably get lost!

Day off for me, but been doing some INSANITY workouts for a week now.  I am absolutely counting on this to help me be a faster triathlete in 2012 where I am focusing on the Olympic distance circuit

It should be a rest day but I need to get in one more good workout today.  I have a hernia repair surgery tomorrow so I'm hitting it hard in order to not stress about the recovery days with no exercise.

Funny thing is... this makes sense to us.  You're going to be laying in bed for a while- might as well make it a planned recovery period.  Good luck with the surgery.

I ran five miles on my treadmill, reading Stephen King's 11-22-63 on my Kindle Fire.

The Kindle Fire works really well for reading on the treadmill.  No page-forward button to find, and the backlight screen works better in my dim garage.  And did I mention how good this book is?  70% done, and on the way to a 5-star review, assuming King doesn't botch the ending.

10-mile run this morning: first time in double digits since injury in January! Since I've got a long day in the car tomorrow, I figured I'd earn my day off...and the weather was simply perfect.

3100m of swimming at community center. I managed to get a lane to myself without going outside in 40 degree weather (really--they heat the outdoor part to 80+). Suffering from both jet lag and cold but decided swimming would help me get over at least the first one. Not sure it was a good idea or not but felt a bit better after swimming--maybe the chlorine will kill the germs!
