Today, I did the LA 13.1  My goal was to break 2 hours.  Last year, I ran 2:07 and I thought my goal was realistic.  My official time today was 1:50:47.  I was over 16 minutes better than last year and I crushed going under 2 hours.

The point I wanted to make to all my bother and sister Clydes and Athenas is you can doing anything you want if you put the effort.  Start off with baby steps and work your way up.  The results will come, trust me.

I am a happy Clyde (and always will be one).

Well done!!

What was your secret/method of success?

No real secrets, i guess it's more or less dedication.

I have a coach (i pay for it) but there are programs you can follow.   I believe BT has good programs to follow.  If I have to, I will wake up early and do my workout before work.  I hate to wake up early but you will feel great after the workout.  If I feel tired, I am not afraid to take a day off.  I generally do workout six days a week.

My one problem is my swim and I dont always get out and do my swim.  So i do have to improve on that aspect.

I have gotten much faster in the year and hope to lose a few more lbs. and get even faster.  It is what you personally put into your workouts.  Give it a try.

Congrats!  That is an awesome improvement.  And, it gives me hope as I too am trying to go under 2 at my HM in May.  Last year my time was 2:09:30.
