OK, so I was a little bored this morning and I opted for something a bit different today. What kind of training do you have on the schedule today?

I did my morning 3 mile run and will be getting the bike out to ride home tonight. I hope to get in about 26 miles.

4:15am:  60 mins/18 miles on the KK.  So glad it's Friday!  I need the weekend to catch up on all sorts of things that I've been too busy to do the last 2 weeks!

As for myself, 30 minutes on the trainer this morning then maybe 3000 in the pool later.  Trainer time is called for by my plan, swim time is extra because I have some free time to kill.

Little over 3 mile run this morning...tripped and wiped out, but thankfully nothing more than some road rash and a tear in my glove.  Running with a group in the dark, just off the side an asphalt path on the gravel and up pops what I would best describe as a flag that they'd put in the corner of a soccer field (without the actual flag attached)...I think it's used to mark the edges of the path so they know where to plow when it snows.  It was a skinny flexible pole about waist high, but was anchored into the ground solidly and took me out.  Might have to make tomorrow's run a swim, I think my knee is going to bruise a swell a bit...overall I'm fine though.

Just about to do an easy 45 minute spin.   I'm actually a bit sore for last night's soccer game.  The running in it is quite different from distance training.  It's start,stop, jog, sprint, run forward, run backward, run sideways.... multiple times through out the game.  It's all the types of running that isn't distance running.     

 

Gonna do it again this evening. After all, reffing games have the potential to put a little excitement in my life.  I know, that's sad.........Frown

Sounds like some great cross training.

. slept in until the leasurly hour of 5am, then ran for half an hour on the treadmill followed by an hour and fifteen minutes on the stationary bike. Core work this evening...maybe.

Good day 3200 yards in the pool with a great descending laddar starting out with 11 lengths and working down. Then a 10 minute run afterwards. I have a Duathlon tomorrow! Run 5K, Bike 21Mile, Run 5K

The run is always the weakest part for me so I ran again today.  Only an hour and nice and easy.  My legs were a little tired from yesterday.

Swam for an hour at a busy Ottawa suburb pool during the lunch hour. More than once I found myself slowing to a breaststroke behind the gentleman in the loose, loose swim trunks swimming elementary backstroke with no room to pass. Yikes!
