I'm having sleep apnea surgery!

I am having sleep apnea surgery (tonsils, adenoids and uvula removed) on March 5th. At almost 30, not only am I dreading the surgery, but I am dreading not being able to swim, bike or run for at the very minimum two weeks. Has anyone on here been through this ? I saw a couple youtube "tonsillectomy recovery" videos and it looked painful. I know two weeks doesn't sound like a long time, but who knows -- it could be and prob will be longer...what else am I gonna do besides rest and drink smoothies for two weeks while being drugged up on Meds ? arghh.
