Good Morning folks, what is on the schedule or in the books for today?

5:30 am - 4 miles of pavement pounding for me this morning.

I am on call this week, so my nights are a bit screwy. Gotta do the early morning thing. Enjoy the week.

12 miles on the Bike following immediately by 4.5 miles running.  I think my body is getting used to the "brick" feeling.  The run went well.

Starting back up after a long hiatus from training.  8 min FTP test on Trainer Road.  Thought I would do better.  I am more out of shape than I thought!!!

Checking in with my BT peeps...was struck with the flu and bronchitis while at the softball tournament...made it home but I'll be in bed for the next few days. Forced rest I guess. Boooo! Can't wait to feel better, this no fun. Carry on triathletes!

Most important day of the week. REST DAY!!! But I might go swim, so we'll call it active recovery day if that happens.

Enjoy the rest time, it probably doesn't happen very often. Rest up and feel better soon.

Thinking about a run  at lunch as the weather is sunny , dry & 38 degrees, but it will be easy and probably  a short 4 miles as I am pretty wiped from the weekends workouts, and don't want too push too far into the deficit Zone and mess up later week workouts.

Greetings!  Slept late again last night, argh!  Unable to wake up early enough for a bike ride on the trainer.  Bowling night again though!  Super fun!  I'll do some ST after when I get home. =)

3 M hilly hilly run around my neighborhood this morning. Tough Mudder circuit training this evening. Best part of today?

I GOT NEW SHOES! I tried on 4 or 5 pairs and wound up with the same model I've been running in, Nike Zooms. Guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it? I will dedicate these shoes to only running and keep track of mileage. I used to wear my other shoes for hiking, errands, gardening, etc. I think I owe it to my shoes to use them just for running. Yay!

Staring over again in the pool for about the third time this season...did 1250 yards in 45 minutes.  I have to stop missing my pool time.

2800m swim squad - awesome.  I was the fastest in the lane and had to lead the sets and a couple of the guys were saying my pace was too fast they couldn't keep up.

This is a first - I am stoked!!!

2400m swimming. 2000m steady pace--it's in the BT beginner HIM plan, even though I keep seeing people say they're useless. Anyway, I like those continuous things and find them relaxing, and needed something like that yesterday. Always start easy and keep getting faster--time (34:10) seemed too fast but I thought I counted right--hmm..maybe not. 200IM after just 'cause I was sick of freestyle. 200m cooldown.

Swam for the first time since Christmas break, 1150 yards at 5:30 pm.  I've really fallen off the wagon since my HIM in November.  Today starts day 1 of the 8 week balanced lifestyle plan, working up to St. Anthony's.  here's to getting back on the horse.

Core workout, 5 mile tempo run, and a swim lesson. Coach actually said she thought my form was looking better and I would eventually be a decent swimmer. Definitely made my day.
