Edinboro, PA triathlon

That's too bad about the cancellation.  I grew up in Erie, PA.  Edinboro tri was the first tri I saw 'live' on a visit home from college after my freshman year.  I watched a good friend compete.  It was the tri that inspired me to set a goal of doing my first tri.  At the time, it was a ways off, because I could barely swim 25 yds, but I took swim lessons and I was on my way.  Life got busy with school, got engaged, married, had kids...19 years later completed my 1st tri!   

Thanks, everyone, for the update. I'm sorry to hear its cancelled. Thats 2 races that I wanted to do this year that have died.

Edinboro was my first tri back in 2003. It is sad to see it cancelled. It has been around about 30 years and had plenty of participants to support it. The rumor I hear, I live in NW PA, is that the logistics and lack of volunteers was just too much.

It is not listed as cancelled but is listed as TBA. I e-mailed the person in charge and hopes to hear back soon and I will post it and let you know.

Word is that it will be back this year with the date TBA.

The date for the Edinboro Tri is June 9th and it will be an International Distance. The person setting this up will have a web site soon that I will post when it is ready.
