6am bright almost full moon to start a run, finish with an excellent sunrise!  8.15 miles for me this morning.

What's everyone else got on tap?  It's starting to feel (and sound, I heard birds this morning) like spring!

Beautiful morning. Headed outside this morning  and I saw lots of people wearing race numbers. Today is the St. Patrick's Day 5 miler. A week early I guess! Should have run it, but didn't know it was today. Got me pumped for my run though. Did speed work, 8 intervals @6:15-6:25, total of 6.2 miles (I had to get that 10k).

Meeting tri club for group swim this afternoon. I will probably ride the new tri bike a little to get used to it, maybe do a video and see how the fit looks.

Hope everyone has a glorious Saturday.

Up at 4:45

Out the door at 5 for a 15 miler in the dark, cold with a light rain.

Followed by an ice bath.

Glad that's over :-)

40 mile bike is what I have on my plan, weather permitting, I hope to do a loop of the CDAIM course this afternoon.

1/4 mile intervals on the treadmill in the hotel. 4 miles total with warm-up and cool-down. 4 miles more than I thought I'd get in on a weekend in NYC with my wife!

Can't do a whole lot with my left arm all wrapped in saran wrap (got a 3/4 sleeve tattoo yesterday) so I went to a one hour spin class. Happy weekend all!

Greetings!  It super nice and clear today!  Highs expected to be upper 70s.  Bike/run brick for me today!  ~30something miles on the bike followed by a 1-2 mile run. =)

Sunny?  That was earlier in the week, when we got to 60.

Today, just in time for my long ride, it's solid overcast, 43 degrees, with almost half an inch of rain since midnight and more expected for the rest of the day.

2 hours on the trainer for me.

Did my Saturday 8.5 mile loop (1:09)...legs felt a little sluggish until I realized that I was running at an 8:15 pace...I don't have a Garmin and this route is "new" to me.  I was expecting a 9:00ish pace so I'm okay with the sluggish feeling...

One foot after the other,

85.99 miles on the trainer (4:05). I really hate how Garmin rounds up like that. :/

3 x 15 min @85%

Local Hero: Hit or break 90% with every effort (TT, 3 mins & pre-sprint). Sprint at 110% (except for Cipollini)

Fight Club: Hit or break 90% for all efforts.

70-75% for everything else.

1650 yards swim in the pool then followed by a 9.5 mile easy run in the park with perfect weather.

4 hours on the trainer

in the middle of which I inexplicably had the brilliant idea of taking my aerobars apart ... things went downhill from there.

Well, at least it's over

A nice sunny day in Kansas.  Rain is expected for tomorrow so today was the day to get in some bike miles.  Got in 46 and oh my, my legs are feeling it.  First long ride of the season.  The 15 mph headwinds going out were tough.  Coming back seemed so much easier Smile

Fell asleep before the thread was posted, as usual. 90-minute run this AM. I thought it was reasonably "cool" and "dry" but sunny (it can be much worse), just for kicks checked temp when I came back (before 8 AM). Already 80 degrees, 78% humidity. 3500m of swimming PM. By then it was high 90's and the (indoor) pool felt like bathwater. Now up at 4:40 for long Sunday ride. Someday, I will sleep in. Someday.
