HI ALL...IVE BEEN DRIFTING THROUGH THE SITE AND STARTED USING THE LOG ABOUT A WEEK AGO. MANY OF YOU HAVE VERY INSPIRATIONAL STORIES, AND I COMMEND YOU ON YOUR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION.

HOPEFULLY OVER TIME ILL HAVE ONE TO ADD TO YOUR SITE. BUT AS THE NAME SUGGESTS IM NEW AT THIS TRI THING AND AM HOPING TO FINISH ONE LATE THIS SEASON OR EARLY NEXT, IVE BEEN IN SOME 5K AND 10K RACES OVER THE YEARS BUT IVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY INCONSISTANT WITH MY PHYSICAL EXERCISE REGIME.

HOWEVER I MADE A PROMISE TO MYSELF THAT I WILL NO LONGER BE SO INCONSITANT AND BECOME IN SHAPE ENOUGH TO FINISH A TRI AND A MARATHON. SO FAR SO GOOD, I RIDE ALMOST EVERYDAY ON MY BIKE AND AM GOING TO ADD RUNNING ONCE A WEEK THIS MONTHY AND SWIMMING NEXT MONTH.

SO GOOD LUCK TO ALL AND THANKS FOR THE AWESOME SITE AND GREAT PEOPLE. GB

Welcome to the site!!! Have you picked a tri yet for your first??? That usually is a great motivator, cause once you put that check in the mail you are committed!!

Good luck,

Hey, welcome! I've been one of those on-again-off-again athletes in the past too. But Tri training is so much fun that it's easy to just keep doing it. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on how your training is going.

Well thanks to all of you. Your right this is a great site, with some great users and advice. I am thinking of entering a sprint or try a tri in late July or early August. I just want to get in the local Y and do some swimming first, I think drowning is frowned upon...even in try a tris. But thanks for the splendid welcome and ill use the forums often.
