You should be proud man, you worked hard and the proof is right there on the clock and scale for all to see. Keep it up, it's not how you compare to everyone else, it's what you are doing for yourself and your family. And you're doing awesome.

Looking forward to the time we finally meet at a race and I can congratulate you in person. Philly tri?

Step four - lose 29 pounds

Step five - train like you actually want to run

Step six - show up ready.

Step seven - 84 days later, run a hillier course, and log a 3:13:47.

These are not easy steps!!  Well done, huge achievement.

Step 8:

Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the rest of your life.

congrats.  well done sir.

Oh- you get to use your chip times.

Hear hear on the bold. And there were no chips. It was a mass start with manual logged time at the chute.

Grnfsh - 2012-03-31 7:52 PM Way to go! whats your next goal?

Well, I have several races this year, but for goals, I'd say three right now:

1 - take a similar amount of time off my return visit to Annapolis TriRock Sprint. It was painfully slow the first time around, so a 45 minute drop is actually possible there too.

2 - survive and finish within the official cutoff time: -Eagleman June 10.

3 - Break 2:45 for a Half-marathon this September at the Bird-in-Hand half. Completing it, I will earn the first ever "Road Apple Award." I saw one today at Garden Spot Village. They didn't go metaphorical here. They actually attached real horse manure to a board. And I want one of those boards.

Sounds awesome!  Ill see you at Eaglman. Ill give ya a "good game" if I see you on the course.

Great Job Claaaw. You are doing awesome on both your progress with your weight and your race times. You provide alot of inspiration to alot of people on this site (me included) so keep up the good work and I am sure you will get your horse poop award soon enough lol. Maybe we will meet again at the Chrissy Wellington Signing in Baltimore Next month? Good luck at TriRock and I am confident that you will PR again.  Oh and a 45min PR in about 3 months? thats freaking crazy crazy wicked cool. I wish I could do that! I am hoping for a 10 minue PR at my next half if possible.
