Subject: Help..mandatory race meeting for HIM..didn't go
About to go to bed so I can be ready for my HIM tomorrow down here in galveston..just realized I didn't go to the "mandatory pre race meeting"..do they check? Is it really "mandatory"??? Thanks. Last minute panicking. I need to go to sleep!

What they are saying is, you're fine. There is no check in sheet or any type of accountability.

And that is why you go to the meetings.  You have 20 secs to pass, and you have to be back 4 bike lengths.  Those are the major changes to the normal rules.  All in the packet though.  oh, and although you are not allowed to have cell phones on the course if you are carrying "in case" and they don't see it that is fine, but use it and your are disqualified.  That stuff is normal.  The abnormal part is that if we pass Lance on the bike we are allowed to take it out and text.  lol
