Hello, just joining in on the weigh in for the first time. I started counting calories March 16th, but went on vacation April 1 - 11 and didn't count. Back at it, and proud to say:

March 16th: 130 lbs (I'm 5'1")

April 18th: 125.8 lbs

Yay! Feels good...

Very sad and disappointed.  I was looking forward to a good weigh-in. I'm really not sure what happened.  I thought I was doing OK and haven't been logging calories for about the past month or so like I used to, but apparently I wasn't doing something right.  I hate how a bad weigh-in takes the wind out of my sails all day.  I will pick my 2.5 lb. heavier self back up and get back at it, though, and start logging meals better again.

4/4: 187

4/11: 186

4/18: 188.5

Forgot to post on Wednesday, 205.4 for me.

Headed back in the right direction but only two weeks for me to go sub  200 or I will be severly dissapointed in myself.

3 pounds is great! Don't be too hard on yourself, time is not important.

To avoid disappointment, I keep in mind that no matter how long it takes to loose, I am healthier than the previous week, month or year.

x a million.   Every time I step on the scale and am stuck at the same weight I was 1, 2, 4 weeks ago, I have to remind myself that it's a hell of a lot better than when I was that weight plus 25 pounds a few months ago.....

yeah I know, just i was getting so close to sub 200 and then I blow it, start eating junk and missing workouts. Almost like I get stage freight and just can't finish it off

Not a big drop this week, but I also had a couple of bad days in the nutrition area;

Apr 5 - 260.0, 33.3% BF

Apr 11 - 258.6, 32.7% BF

Apr 19 - 257.0, 32.4% BF

April Goal still 250 lbs, 30.8% BF.

I got a new scale. Even if I find out how to fix our wii, I don't want to deal with the hassle of it all just to get a weight.

Last week on the wii -256.4

Today on the new glass bottom Weight Watchers scale (only product I'll buy from them).

256.5

Considering I'm switching scales and this is a tenth of a pound, I'll consider it completely meaningless.

BTW, for anyone who still needs proof that there is daily fluctuation in one's "weight" while not changing actual composition, when I brought the scale home last night, I tried it out and I was 261.5. This morning I weighed in under usual weekly weigh-in circumstances, and I was 256.5. Do I in any way believe I "lost" 5 pounds overnight? Only if I believe the infomercials.

April 10 - 216

I just got back from vacation on Monday and I knew I would be up a little but it wasn't as bad as I had feared. On Monday I was at 218 but today was down to 216. Still I was at 213 when we left on March 30th. Hopefully by next week I will be back down to 213.

April Goal - 210

Final Goal - 185

4/19  -  212  Forgot to weighin yesterday. Looks like I am back on track, I think I need to try harder to not over eat when on vacation from now on.

I've been debating whether to jump in on this thread, but the truth is that weight-loss is my motivation for being on this site and for training for my first ever sprint tri in August. So here goes:

Tues, April 3rd: 153

Today: 151.8

Things are going sloooowly. If I see 149.9 on May 1st, I'll be thrilled.

Agreed, your weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds on any given day.  This is the reason that I don't weigh myself except once a week.  So many factors involved in a fluctuation, especially when training.

The main one for me is stress.  I learned that it is not worth it for me personally to allow the stress to affect the cortisol levels in my body.  It only leads to sugar cravings, appetite increase, and weight gain which sugar is one of my biggest weaknesses!  Once I realized the impact my stress  was having on me and reaching my goals, I have had to retrain my brain to quit sweating the small stuff Laughing

30/03 ; 197

06/04 ; 193

13/04 ; 192

21/04 ; 188

Passed my goal a week ahead of time. Surprised and pumped about how well the weight is still coming off. I am now 10 pounds away from what I was at 18, running marathons and carrying about 12-15% body fat.

Since the weight is still coming off, I will try to loose another 15-20 pounds to make it easier for triathlon, don't know if it will be possible. Met my Doctor yesterday, and he thinks 15 more pounds would be the maximum, although he thinks the extra skin might keep me from loosing more then 10. On another note, all my numbers from blood work are fantastic.

New goal is 179 for June 01.

189.9 this morning.

I am not sure what my weights have been, my battery in my scale has been really low and has not read it some mornings.

I did my 10miler last saturday. I felt good. physically I don't think that I was down to my goal weight but I had a good run. I think I should have eaten a little more for breakfast.

i was 725 out of 2735 runners. I was 73 out of 172 for my age group.

1:27:42 That pace is a little slower than my training but it was only 12 seconds off per mile.
