Hey guys, my Dad passed away last night after a very tough bout with COPD, congestive heart failure and I was lucky enough to hold his hand in mine until the end. His grip was super strong until he lost his strength. Just wanted you guys to know...I think of you as family, my swbkrun family. Kim |

Champion 6973 marietta | Subject: RE: swbkrun mentor group 6 years running closed So I needed a new watch two weeks ago when IM sent our the sale notice. The thing was cheap and looked cool so I bought it. I was pumped when it arrived for a few reasons but one was the ironman Florida writing is really hard to read. And it's white! I'm to lazy to go look at my phone right now but a few days ago Kathy posts a pic of Kim and her at Disneyland. Kim is wearing a white watch that looked like my new one. So I shoot her a pic of my new watch. The text conversion that ensued was enlightening to say the least. But Kim being Kim was cool about it and welcomed me into the family with open arms. Jarrett, not so much. She's even gotten the kids in on the laughter at my apparent lack of understanding. I justed checked, looks like pdiddy wears a white g-shock from time to time so I think I may continue to wear it. edit, since I'm telling you all about this... I was having (still am) a hard time with the events going on back home in CT. Last night we were sitting around the fire pit in my driveway with neighbors talking about what we as parents can do to help raise our children as a community. I was wearing the watch (obviously) and thought about Kim' dad and the influence he's had and will continue to have on Kim. There's an incredibly positive lesson learned for family and neighbors as we struggle with the days, weeks, months and years to come. So I came inside and took that pic to let her know I was thinking about her. Usually I send things like that in a more private manner. I'm not sure why I posted it up here, but just typing this about revealing my inner Kim is making me laugh so that's good. Well, I haven't heard back from Kim yet so I hope I'm not in trouble! We had a chat about that the other night as well. On the same day, we also had a boy in grade 3 accidentally hang himself by wearing a lanyard around his neck with his ID on it. Somehow go himself tangled up in the bathroom on it. He is still alive, but in serious condition. Same school where both the girls went to preschool. On a bit lighter of a note...... 'Last night we were sitting around the fire pit in my driveway'. Was Whitesnake playing on tapedeck? Or was is a Skynyrd night?

I am guessing you're not in trouble, but rather Kim is busy with her family these days. I've not heard from her either, but I am thinking about her. Best to Jayne and Linda tomorrow. I'm sure it won't be easy. |
