regretting my lunch right about now... badbadbad me!

Hey Joey!  What was for lunch?

Hey Yanti!  What can I send with Michelle to thank you for being pure awesome?  Any preference on swim caps?

Silly Bigb... boxes and boxes of PopTarts!

Hi! I'm Joey (from Toronto!) I had Swiss Chalet ... it's a Canadian thing I think.

lunch consisted of GREEEASY chicken + a huge serving of fries.... AND on a rest day too!!

Wheeee - another Canuck!  I'm from Vancouver, but currently living in London and soon moving to Chicago.  Nice to meet you!

I honestly don't know the last time I had Swiss Chalet - but I remember having it the first time and thinking that the sauce for dipping had to be made out of crack it was so good!

*Waves Canadian flag* Nice to meet you as well! I LOVE Vancouver!!! and London!! haven't been to Chicago but that's a big move! Are you moving for work?

Re: swiss chalet - It's that SAUCE! it gets me eveeery time..

She's moving for a guy! Can you believe that? He must be not only good looking and wealthy but be an awesome athlete with a rapier wit and a Laurel-and-Hardy sense of humor!

Re: swiss chalet - It's that SAUCE! it gets me eveeery time..

I miss Vancouver so much right now - I'm going back for 10 days or so in June before heading off to Chicago and I can't wait!

As far as the whole moving thing goes... short version = for a guy.  Longer version goes something like...

BT/TAN guy from Chicago throws TAN party a couple of years ago, girl attends said party where guy and girl get along VERY well... guy and girl then go on vacation to Utah together... girl then goes to visit guy in Chicago a couple of times... guy gets moved to London with work... girl imports herself from Vancouver to London to be with guy... guy and girl now supposed to be getting married next weekend... guy's job is moving him back to Chicago... girl going to now be imported into the US.

Whew!  I think that pretty much covers it.

Sadly (or maybe it's a good thing?) there's no Swiss Chalet here to temp me with their yummy sauce.

Sadly he's not making the trip - I'm shipping him off to Chicago on the 28th, and I'm off to Vancouver on June 4th or so for a few days with the friends and family.

I wouldn't mind hitting up Seattle though, another one of my favourite cities!

Well I like my current job. The place is a bit of a mess, Management is a  bit weak. A Lot of problems to solve and It is easy for me to make an impact and look good. I have so far.

But it is a dead end. No where to go in the company.

I just had two interviews and now a third on deck for a new company 5 mins from home and they are roughly estimating 18% more Pay based on low end of scale they gave me plus a pension (don't have one at current company)

Larger facility might be harder to be a superstar there. Leaving an ops manager role to go back to a process eng role.

I have only been here for 5 months.

I kind of agree. I think that this meeting will have an offer put forth or shortly after. There is lack of technical people in my area so companies seem to be fighting over a few of us that are out there. Complete change from 5 years ago.

But I hate jumping ship on people. 19 years in industry I have now worked for 4 companies. 18.5 years I worked for 3. Only left 2 because they were closing.

would be the first time I kind of short changed a bunch of people... But I have to look out for me right... plus I could ride my bike to work...

not sure why I am stressing about it. every time I put it on paper it seems simple..

I guess I should just shut up. I don't even have an offer. But 1 phone interview and 2 in person interviews over the last 2 days and meeting corp HR manager on Monday.
