Subject: 4.16.12 Monday Movin'!

Good morning BT!

4:15am:  6 mile run followed by core.  Thus begins my taper for Saturday's marathon!  The goal this week--good nutrition and hydration!

No set plans for today.  Only exercise for sure today is dodging thunderstorms.   May swim this afternoon; we'll see how the day goes.

much needed rest day today.

51 mile bike on Saturday followed by a 9 mile run yesterday.  Then, clumsy me, strains my back simply by bending the wrong direction!

Unfortunately I have typhoid fever, so the most training I'll be doing in the near future is lots of "death pose" yoga. ZZZZZZ

Today is my last day of antibiotics for bronchitis/pneumonia--I'm celebrating with a very short, very slow bike ride   Don't know how far I'll get, but it'll take me a while.  then I'll collapse into death pose yoga.  Thanks for giving me a fitting ending!

Another brick workout this morning according to training plan.  Swim and a run.  I am ready for my bike tomorrow, the gym is making me a little stir crazy.  Might decide to go run this afternoon if time permits!

OMG Yanti.....is this the same typhoid back again, or another case??? Aren't you running out of strains???!!! Rest up this time first, THEN train for the Ironman. Don't try to do that simultaneously.

2000m of swimming here. Water way too warm. No hypothermia in THIS place!

Different strain. There're a lot of them, unfortunately, and they do change every year/few. Really hoping not a multi-drug-resistant one like last time or it's gonna be a pretty bad haul again.

I'm resting up until I've been dying to eat Pop Tarts for at least a week or two. I learn hard and slowly, but no way am I doing anything resembling training until well past this bug's expiration date.

Let's see 5K on the treadmill this morning followed by some upper body weights.  Two muscle heads were hogging the chest press machine which frustrated me to no end.  Grrrr .... you don't need the machine for over an hour!!!

Tonight hope to sneak in an easy 30 minute spin.

Typhoid again?? Unbelievable. Feel better soon!!

 

I went running this morning a la C25K Week 4. The scales tipped aggressively toward running and away from walking this week in the plan (Cool Running version), and I'm glad. I feel like I'm getting somewhere now!

Had planned on a ride this afternoon with my baby in his Chariot but there are 45 mph gusts, and a 30 mph gust almost dumped me last week.

200m freestyle

200m freestyle breathe every 3

200m (100 back/100 breast)

200m (100m front scull/100m mid scull)

200m otter scull

Fins off - with pull buoy

100m, breathe 2, 100m breathe 3, 100m breathe 4, 100m breathe 5, 100m breathe 6

Supposed to do this set 4 times, I did 3 sets up to the breathe 5 then had to jump out as i had to get home. 

Awesome! Total for me 2.4km
