Subject: best deals on a quarq type powermeter?

Anyone know where to get the best deals on a quarq or similar type powermeter? I don't want to buy one and find out they are way cheaper on another site. (Seems to happen to me a lot haha).

Thanks

There aren't any. It's going to be +/- about 50 bucks, 100 if you really look around.

Quarq cannot keep up with the demand so there's no reason to drop prices.

That said, I took

http://www.trisports.com/sram-quarq-gxp.html

and then used this code:

to get about the best price I have ever seen on them. You might consider becoming a performance member, the savings on that purchase alone will more than make up for the price.

Sometimes on line stores have 15-20% off coupons that work on Quarqs. Performance bike sells them and has points that work out to 10% credit to future purchase and may have 10-20% off sales and free shipping if you wait awhile. Tri Sports has nice discount to BTers and more if you are a Performance Member.

Typically holidays many on line tri shops have good sales. Sign up for mailing list and see what shows up.

My LBS gives me a nice discount so I bought mine from them when I bought my new tri bike and used the crank that came with it as a credit so saved a bunch.

You can find them on eBay for $1100.  You would most likely only be able to get the SRAM 975 cranks for that price but you really wouldn't need anything else.
