Now I'm really confused.  I thought Ironman switched over to using GU products for their on course nutrition?  I just got an email saying IRONMAN Mont Tremblant will have Honey Stinger waffles, chews, and gels for their on course nutrition.  I have never tried or heard of this company.  Have any of you tried any honey stinger products?  and I just bought about 3 boxes of gu's...

the Canadian Ironmans are run by a different company than runs the american ones, GU was announced for all American Ironmans not ironmans in general.

Honey Stinger are organic and endorsed by Lance Armstrong, I think he may have even helped to develop the product line.  I've tried the waffles, but that is it.  I liked them, but I'm not sure they were worth the cost when they are essentially stroop waffles which you can get at the grocery store for much less.

I love Honey Stinger products. Tasty and easy on my stomach. The "gels" aren't really gels, just honey with electrolytes. If you don't like honey they would be terrible.

True story. I bought one and we examined the nutritional profiles and they are pretty much the same. Very tasty. My favourite dutch treat.

I've tried the chews and the waffles and like both alot - the chews are nice and soft and tasty flavours.

I am very excited by this news!

I will never eat another brand of chew again after the Honey Stinger ones - seriously. Absolutely delicious (I may or may not have been known to snack on these outside of training/racing) and easy to eat.

They use organic tapioca syrup instead of brown rice syrup. The brown rice stuff in other chews gives some people a strong aftertaste.

My only complaint on them is the packaging is a little difficult to open and eat on the fly. I hope someday they move to the Clif Shot Block "tube" packaging - would make it the perfect product

Cool guys...You all got me excited to try them..I'll have to stop at our local store and see if I can get them.  I hope they don't change nutrition again on us as I expect (or hope) to live off the course at Mont Tremblant.

Waffles are very good as are the protein bars - best tasting protein bars I have had - especially the Dark Chocolate, Coconut, Almond.

I discovered these last year while poking around REI.  I really like them.  The GU's never sat well in my stomach.  I have no problem with these.  I second the comment on the packaging being difficult to get into while riding.

The gels are one of the very few I can stomach. The only reason I use Powerbar is because of the higher amount of other stuff in them. Otherwise the Stinger versions are great.
