Member  41  Central Ms. |  Subject: FCA- endurance group swimJackson Mississippi FCA Endurance open water swim with kayak support 2pm Sunday. And a group run afterwards about 3:30pm immediately following the swim. Anyone is invited to join us. No obligations, completely free of charge. The run will be to the overlook and back, about 3 miles. Swim starts at Madison'sLanding at the Rez. Where the Heatwave classic starts in the cove. Any questions,just holler at me or Candace. All swims begin with a prayer. Have a blessed evening :-) |

A little excitement... as I was sighting, I saw some boys standing on the wall excitedly pointing in the water. Snake. In the water. With me. I jumped out and let him swim on by then put my daughter on snake patrol while I finished. |

John, Candice, thanks so much for putting these on...there's not alot of OWS opportunities out there with kayak support like this. I had a great time out there with y'all this past Sunday, and I'll definitely be back again; though I'll miss the next few for out of town. But I'll see ya again soon. |

I've been swimming out there for years and have never had that happen, however I have had a triathlete friend say its happened to him once and he's been swimming there for 20 plus years! That's something we always watch for. There's been instances when there was a snake that even got into the pool at the YMCA. It's that time of year I guess. We hope you get to join us again.
