Subject: Hello from upstate NY
Hello all. I will be doing my first triathlon June 9th at Hunter Mountain in upstate New York. I know I should just try to get through my first one an enjoy it but I want to well. I was worried about the swim. I jump in the pool and all most seized up after two laps. now I'm swimming 900 yards with out stopping and really enjoying. I can swim the 100yrd in 1:55 which is pretty slow. Everything else is ok my bike isis ok gravity gets me on the hills being that I'm 265 pounder I was hoping for a moose division lol. I run ok for a big guy right now I'm running a 5k in 24 and change. I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of question so thanks. Chris

Welcome to BT. You'll find a lot of great advice in here. Good job on the swimming, you've seen improvement already. And enjoy the journey!
