Subject: 5 weeks to first Ironman and the beginning of a black toenail
So I have lost my toenails next to my big toe more times than I can count but have never lost a big toenail.  I noticed today one of them is tender and I can see the beginnings of a black toenail heading my way.  With 5 weeks to Ironman is there anything I can do to hurry it along so it's done before then?

not that I know of.   But look on the bright side, you'll be in so much pain it probably won't matter anyway.Cool

it may chill out a little with taper coming up?

Just clip it as close as is comfortable so it doesn't hit the front of your shoe and get bruised more.  Enjoy your day, hopefully the tonail is your biggest worry.

Embrace the black. Mine have been perpetually ugly looking for years now. Won't hurt your training or race, let it be until after and ten deal with it.
