I will go ahead and make reservations Friday for somewhere to go to dinner the night before RiverCities.

Your choices:

Monjuni's - Next door to packet pick up. Excellent pasta and bread. My favorite Italian in town. They have a party room that we can reserve. I am talking to the manager right now about the details of getting the room. This is where I suggest we go.

RiverCities Pasta Dinner - At one of the YMCA's. There will be plenty of room no matter how many people.

Olive Garden

Macarroni Grill

Add your own.

So vote and let me know how many people will be with you.

Never eaten there but Mojuni's comes highly recommended. I think we tried to get reservations last year but waited too long, so I suggest we make them Thursday, after we see who got registered, if that's the option we choose.

Also looing for some cheap-a$$ hotel reservations.

The logistics are still being worked out, but we're gonna try our best to make it.  Monjuni's would be my choice as well.

I'll be there. If anyone wants to double up on a hotel to split the cost, I'm up for it. I'll also be driving from N.O., so I'm up for splitting ride costs as well. My 6 year-old is moving back in with me next week so I'm ALL about saving the $$$ right now.

Looking forward to it!

I'm in for dinner anywhere Michael.  And my friend Chris will be coming again this year, but he'll be racing.  River Cities is his first tri ever.

Dinner sounds great.  Who am I to question Monjoni's?  (Although the free dinner put on at the YMCA for the Athens tri was actually pretty good, so I wouldn't discount that possibility entirely.)

I'm also looking to split some hotel costs, and probably carpool in from Dallas.

This one isn't free, The race dinner is $14 i think

Talked to my friend John (also doing the race - we will probably be coming up there together) we are going to try to make it to the dinner, I have no preference - and Michael if you say it's good, I'll trust you!

If we don't have 20-25 people, we can't get the private room.

So if we don't have 5-10 more sign up today, I will see if we can get a reserved table and not the room.

Derek and I are in.  That doesn't make 25, but Derek can eat for that many!

By the way, we couldn't find a BT love shack in Shreveport.  Apparently those bible-beaters outlawed them years ago.  Thanks to the quick and economical eye of Angel and Bear, we will be staying at the Days Inn Airport, if anyone else is interested.  49.00/ night! woo-hoo!!!

It may be cheap, but it's got the essentials: free wireless internet so we don't lose any quality BT.com time!

Hope this year the air conditioner works....
