Subject: Traveling to Wichita: OWS and Run Options?

Just found out I will be in Wichita for a week or so starting June 17.  Are there any options in the area for me to get in an OWS or good parks/paths for running?  I did a brief online search but didn't find anything.  I don't mind driving a little ways to get there, so just suggest w/e.

Try Lake Afton for OWS:

Sedgwick County Park for nice running out west.

The k-96 bike path would be an east side running option.

^^ yes to this!

The swim beach on the west side of Lake Afton has anchored cement boueys to mark the area. The distance from one end to the other is around 300-350yds, just for reference. You can run around the path in that area, too, it's where a local tri takes place. Here is the run course if you want to do a 5K or 10K.

At Sedgwick County Park if you stay on the very outside paths, one loop is exactly 4 miles.
