I have always suffered from motion sickness but now after a couple of laps I get dizzy and disorientated. I suspect it has something to do with water in ears. Anybody else have any experience with this? I have only just started to swim so maybe it will go away.

Ear plugs generally solve the problem..
Try Mac's.

I have that problem, as well. It gets worse as the water gets colder. I picked up some silicone plugs. The problem is gone now.

COOL!!

that is some great insider advice.. (I would have never thought of that since I don't have a swimmers background)  I don't get the sickness when I swim though..

Ya, funny stuff you learn. Never had it happen to me until last summer. Been swimming in the lake in my wet suit....done it many time before...but this just after a cold rain I go really dizzy. Thought I might puke before I got to shore and had to crawl out of the water. I was literally floored.

Never had a problem since with ear plugs. I typically use the cheap foamies but the silcone ones like Mac's are much better.

I get it when just breathing to the left. Maybe I'll try the ear plugs.

I tried meclazine (non drowsy dramamine) yesterday, and it worked great. I'll try the ear plugs another time, too. But, since I'm racing Sunday with no more OWS before then, I think I'll go with drugs this time.
