New user 60 Oz | Subject: RE: Bike porn with Flo Wheels Nice looking rig. The Flo's match the bike perfectly. Just a question on the bottle setup. It looks like you have the cage zip tied to the stem which places the bottle on a 45 degree. I thought the idea of the torpedo bottle was to place it horizontal making it as aero as possible. Have you placed it that way for any particular reason? |

Subject: RE: Bike porn with Flo Wheels Can the FLO wheels be covered? Interested to know why you opted for a full disc instead of the 90 with a cover for more versatility. From what I understand, the FLO disc is just a covered spoke wheel anyway, so I can't imagine a covered 90 is going to be that much heavier. |

Also I took sometime off from biking, about 8 months worth to be exact and gained about 10 lbs all in the gut so getting back in I lost some of that flexiblity and core muscles and ended up flipping the stem to go used to it again, once I flip the stem back over, which will probably be this weekend it won't stick up as much. I also have a set of ski bends to put on so my hands will actually be slightly higher once they're on. |

Maybe because a disk is always better.. unless you're in Cozumel, or Kona. |

I actually got a 90 for the rear as well. You are correct though, the disc is just a covered spoked wheel. I'm not sure on weight but they would probably be close, on another note Flo tested a covered 90 and got similiar results to the disc. Part of the reason is time, I know it would only take a few minutes to put a disc on and I have all the tools to do it myself, but with 2 kids 2 and under with another one on the way time is very valuable, even the 10 minutes it might take to switch back and forth. |

I hear you about the flexibility etc. i took 4 weeks off after my last race in early May and just started getting back into it this week. I did my first lot of stretching on Tuesday night. I thought my hamstrings were going to break i was that tight. It's amazing how quickly you lose it!Enjoy your ride.Beetlejuice - 2012-06-07 12:16 AM Nice looking rig. Ah...sweet. I agree, getting the 90 AND the disc is far better than a 90 and a cover. Rickz...I do race in Kona (HIM), so that's partially why I asked. |

I have a similar bottle set up and when I am in aero (ski bends) the bottle sits snugly right between my forearms. |
