Subject: First Olympic this year

Hi all,

I did my first sprint tri last year in Wildwood, NJ.  AS well as doing that one again, I am doing the Olympic Nations Triathalon in Spetember.  I have done over distance training in all events, now I just have to put it all together. My biggest worry is the swim.  I don't know anywhere to do an open water swim in training and I just don't think the pool training is the same.  If anyone knows a good place to do an open water swim in the Phila area, let me know.

go to www.etacoach.com  (jason) runs open water swims on Saturday mornings from 6:30-9:30AM (I think) for rest of June in Medford NJ

Hi Dane, welcome to BT and congrats on your sprint!

Why don't you post in the Pennsylvania forum (bottom of Forums page, U.S. State Forums), you'll have more area athletes looking at that forum who might be able to suggest spots and training as well.

I agree that getting as much OWS experience as possible is the best. Here are some additional good tips in an article I wrote:
