Any strong recommendations for or against these products. If you do, other than weight, are the Slime Lite as good as the regular.
Thanks,
Corey

For what it's worth, slime tubes are the best selling tubes at my LBS.  We have a problem with goatheads around here, even on paved paths that appear to be completely clean.  Those little buggers come out of nowhere.

I've never used the "lite" version, and I'm not concerned at all with the added weight.  (As soon as I lose the 30 extra pounds I'm carrying on ME, I'll get to taking care of the few extra ounces on my bike.)

Ugly

I had one explode while it was in my garage and the slime went everywhere.

Haven't used one since.

Goatheads??

terrible terrible things. kind of like thorns that are amazing at penetrating jsut about any tire you can find and popping your tube quite easily.

Glad we don't have goatheads here, I'd probably have even more flats, although I bit the bullet yesterday and ordered Slime tubes (and not the "lite" verson based on rjb2000's commentary, I too could lose a few pounds ). Since I was in a spending mood, I also bought the Slime tube liners, probably overkill, but I flatted in my first Tri this year (then blew up my spare tube using my CO2 pump, I did a no-no using a 16g cartridge) so I'm not taking any more chances!
