Had my second flat in 3 weeks. First was because the tires were really old and had dry rotted so it was a slow leak. Then this morning, I rode over something that punched a nice little hole through the tire and tube.

Anyone know if there's a warranty on bike tires? I only have about 70 miles on those darn tires.

If you didn't purchase the road hazard protection....there is no warranty!

is it the tires fault you rode over something?

A) even if there were a warranty, a puncture is (probably) considered either normal wear and tear or operator error.

B) Throw the tube out. Put new one in. Most small holes will be just fine.

I figured I was out of luck. But thought I'd check.

The hole is big enough that it will allow some weakness in the tire. I may still ask the LBS about it when I buy the new one.

If it's a newish tire, you can definitely boot it. Ask at the LBS for a 'tire boot' it's like a patch for a tube but much thicker. Should rescue your near-new tire unless it's a long gash.
