Subject: Pearl Izumi sizing advice - first tri-shorts

I am purchasing my first pair of tri shorts and have a credit with Amazon so I'd prefer to buy from there. Just curious how the sizing runs? I am roughly 5'11 about 190ish with some weight to lose around the belly... just curious what size you guys would recommend, and which one out of these choices? I'd prefer something that doesn't make make my fat come out of the sides

I find that PI tends to run pretty true to their sizing charts.

I am 5'10" and 145 lbs. and ordered a PI tri suit from online in a Large. It fits well with the exception of pulling up in the crotch through the shoulders (I have a very long torso-so I thougth this would be an issue). With PI cycling shorts I have tried different lengths, styles, etc. and they do run true to size. I like to buy a medium or large depending on length and if there is a band around the leg opening. Unfortunately, as with most compression gear, if you have any "non muscled" skin, it is going ooze out of the openings... bummer, but I just live with it and ride and have fun! Good luck with your tri shorts! I really like the PI line, they are quality made and as comfortable as this gear can be. Laughing

I'm 6'2" 180 and have worn both the mediums and the larges.  I like the large a little better mainly for length.  Unfortunately, tri is not a sport for the modest.  Any/all is available and on display for everyone to see.  Find comfort in the fact that everyone else out there is in the same boat.  Smile
