Subject: Studio CIty- The Valley

Hi new to california and looking for some try buddies, anyone in the studio city, sherman oaks area training? I am in my 9th month of pregnancy and will start training for a half ironman again, but would love to train with people it makes training so much better.

Hi there!  Welcome back!  I live near Studio City and do alot of my bike rides around Griffith Park and the surrounding area.  There's a really nice outdoor swimming pool in Sherman Oaks that I started going to.  Feel free to write me a message here or send a PM about your planned workouts.  I'll do my best to be one of your training partners.  =)

Just FYI, I'm currently nursing ITBS on my left leg so I can't do any running for at least 1 and a half more weeks.

I am happy that the VNSO pool re-opened I have been swimming there as well! Im not riding outside yet, when i deliver I will get back on the bike Im too klutzy to risk it..lol

 

I plan on swimming tomorrow if you are around. I try to swim up there at least 3x a week for about an hour or between 3000-3500m. Let me know if you are up for a swim! It's always great to have some company

Swimming tomorrow sounds great!  I'd like to get a bike ride in as well so I'll schedule it around the swim time.  What time do you plan on getting there?

Yup!  I'll PM you my cell phone number.  How do you suggest we meet?  At the entrance where you get the ticket?

At 11am, I think we'll need to apply some sunscreen. Any chance we can get there earlier to avoid the heat?  =)
