Subject: Newbie in South Carolina Hi all. I've been lurking for a while getting motivation and training tips. I started running about a month ago with the goal of a 10k. My training plan calls for 3 days of cross-training a week. Since I can't do a gym membership I looked into cycling. Well, along the way I came across sprint tri and changed my goal from a 10k to a sprint! I bought a used road bike that has clip on aero bars last week and starting my cycle training. My first biking session I did 7.5 miles in 33' or a 4:27 pace. Not great, but not horrible either I guess! My running is "ok" with my max so far being 4 miles at a 10' pace. I can swim, but haven't done laps in about 20 years (I'm 36) Anyway, thanks for having an active forum for us newbs to read. I hope to contribute more in the future. |
