Subject: Charlotte tri clubs
Are there any tri clubs in the Charlotte area? I've looked online, but the websites no longer exist or are outdated by a few years. Preferably in the Ballantyne area if at all possible.

Unfortunatly I think the answer is no. I live in south Charlotte and I am not really aware of any tri clubs out our way. I will occasionally see 3-4 tri bikes together on a ride, but never a "group/club".

There's a tri training group out of the JCC which is pretty close to you.

There is a large tri group south end in Matthews (Siskey Y) coached by an amazing coach melonie norris and is very active!!!

The YWCA has co-ed groups for international tri trainings.

The Harris YMCA has 10 week trainings for sprint tris.

Im also in ballantyne and am looking for t he same thing perhaps. Looking for some training partners to run,bike, swim with. Always easier to get up early, go out late with a partner or 10. Has anyone found a group? I know TrySports do a ton of runs/rides but wanted to get something more personal. Findings? Thoughts on starting a South Charlotte Tri Club?

We have not but am definitely interested. There are a bunch of routes and great rides down here as well. Looking to do 2 rides a week and a couple runs as well. Getting my 2013 schedule started since this weekend is my last tri for the year, maybe. HIM next fall I am going for.

I'm interested as well, I have closed season for triathlons for this year already. I am currently training for Savannah Marathon in early Nov, but would be definitely interested in joining for next season!
