Subject: FS Carbon Tubular Race Wheels $300

It's time to clean out some of the stuff that is clogging the garage.  First up is a set of HED Stinger Carbonlite v5.0 Carbon wheels.  They are tubulars, 50mm deep, and light weight. Everything is used, but works fine.  I'm going to throw them on craigslist soon, but figured I would see if any BTer's want them. 

Comes with:

Zipp tangent tire on rear.  almost new. 

Vittoria Rally tire on front.  New. 

Spare Vittoria Rally tire. New.

2 Zipp valve extensions.  These extend the normal valve length so the tip sticks out past the inside of the rim.

HED Skewers

12-27 used cassette installed.  I have no idea how many miles, but it shifts fine.

Used brake pads for carbon wheels.

One cosmetic scratch.  It can be seen in the last picture.  I have since colored it with a sharpie.

 

The tires would be $125+, the valve extensions $20, the brake pads $30 and the cassette $75 if you went out and bought all this stuff.

The hubs roll great and the wheels are true.  The wheels are probably 2006ish and equal to older Zipp 404s.

I am interested. I have a Cannondale slice, how would I know best if they fit my bike? Are they standard size wheels?

The wheels are 700's.  That is the standard for most tri/road bikes.  Some older or smaller tri bikes use 650's.  Your current tires should be say 700 or 650 on the side wall.

Great. My wheels say 622 X 15c and apparently is the same as 700c.

What would you suggest to do next? I wouldn't mind checking them out. I live in Midtown.

I haven't been able to meet up with mariska, so they are still available. 

 

I'm not positive what they wheelset weighs, but IIRC it's in the high 1300 grams without the tires.

Lawrenceville is farther than I can go right now.  We are really busy, so the pick up is going to have to be in the Roswell area.  In hindsight I should have put that in the original post, but I was just trying to see if a BTer wanted them before I put them on craigslist.
