Subject: Hip replacement
Just curious if anyone out there has had a hip replacement and have come back to doing triathlons.   My wife goes in next Tuesday for her total hip replacement and wanted to give her some good hip replacement outcome stories.  She really wants to be able to get back to more physical exercise.

I've heard of people running on them, the only issue being that you will potentially wear it out sooner, and need it replaced again sooner.

Depending on her age, this might not be a big deal.  However, you can only have so many hip surgeries, and if she were as young as me, it might not be a good idea :p
