Subject: Heavy legs in swim after run?

On sunday my wife and I run a 15k (see race report).

Yesterday in the pool we both felt as if our legs where sinking more than normally.

I am wondering if a long run will accumulate water or other heavy liquids in your legs resulting them in sinking more than ususally?

Were they or only FELT that way?  I'm guess fatigue made them FEEL dead and maybe weakened your kick slightly - perhaps.  Shooting from the hip.

You raced 15K two days ago... your legs are tired. I think you are overthinking

you can get edema in muscles after heavy use...but water is the same desnity as...water...so it would be a wash. you were just overall body tired, that's all.
