Morning BT

Well T-storms here so It will probably be a swim day for me at the pool later. Yesterday was  a different training day for me, first time training all 3 disciplines on the same day, did a sprint bike in the morning and then did a full sprint swim and run with the club after supper, I have to say I was happy to crawl into bed last night.

Well have a good day everyone and happy training

Good morning!

5:30am:  30 minute run followed by some upper body and core.

Packing myself and my older daughter up to head to Idaho for some shopping and my tri on Saturday!  Can't wait (for both the shopping and the tri!)

Have a great training day!

Oh man, I just got my swimmer safety device thing but there's heavy rain and thunderstorms, so I guess my swim lesson this morning is it for today. May as well do some weights, since I'm stuck inside.

Something must be very wrong. It's not that I'm still feeling poorly, but I figured an extra day's rest would get me into tomorrow's workouts refreshed, and they'd be quality.

Who killed Yanti? Who is this posting?

Greetings!  ITBS didn't flare up after last night's somewhat hard trainer ride, yay!  Gonna hit the pool tonight after work for a long swim, 3200 yards?  =D

I like doing that too!  I took a 15 minute power nap before my trainer ride after work yesterday and I'm super glad I did.  ^_^

Felt like having a bit of a lie down but saw the sun shining and thought, "Oh, maybe the rain is holding off!" So I ran to get my gear on and as soon as I opened the garage door to wheel my bike out, the clouds had rolled back in. Ah, New England. Nothing motivates a quick ride like impending storm warnings. Got a quick 10 mile ride in and got mildly sprinkled on. No biggie. Glad I did it, even though I was tired. And now for the reward - nap time!!

Up at 6:15, thanks to my wife, and I was off to redeem myself after a terrible finish to my last run a couple of days ago. Happy to say I was able to knock out a 5 miler with a sub 9 minute average! That's good for me and yes I do feel some redemption!!!

Was busy most of the day so haven't got a workout in. Finals and all that.   Was happy to see that the new crank set and bottom bracket that I had ordered arrived today. So this evening I have been playing bike mechanic, un-installing the old 52/39 and installing the new  compact crank set 50/34.   It should serve me much better on the hills that I ride.    Will do a shake out ride tomorrow just to fine tune it so the bike will be ready for Saturday's century ride.  Time to relax with some wine and a movie.

My "active recovery" from HIM was a bit more active than planned as my car is now stuck in the garage (malfunctioning, jammed garage door) until Monday. Not really training for anything but enjoying the summer weather and quite literally running errands.

AM: Operation Aerobar. Got aerobars installed on Red Rover, redid bike fit, got derailuer fixed; pedaled to shop and back, walked a few miles to/from coffee shop to wait while they fiddled with the bike. Think I need to have them install training wheels too while I learn to ride with these things.

PM: 55 minute easy run on Pre's Trail in warm sunshine (finally)!  Walked back from trail (3 miles), running more errands on way.

Evening: 3200m at master's swim. Walked back 2 miles up monster hill. Ready for bed!

If I "recover" any more I may have to do another HIM to rest up.

I did a 6 miler in the morning.. Got rained on for about 4 miles.
Then, at night, a track session was cut very short due to extreme rain and lightning.
Friday is a day off.
