I have about $1,000 - $1,200 to spend on some wheels.  The different setups I've been thinking about are:

Hed Tri Spoke Front / Wheel builder disk rear

Flo 60/90 or 90/disk

Sram s60/s80

I am a heavier rider (220lbs at heaviest), and also don't care for tubular wheels.  I was also looking at a Planet X set at one time.  What do you guys think is best?  I am open to new suggestions that I did not post.

I have the planet x 50/50 clinchers and love them.

For some reason, they are no longer selling this set but I really like their wheels.  In fact I don't think they sell any clinchers...bummer.

You could go with a wheelbuilder aerojacket and save yourself some big money.  Research show the gain differential between an aerojacket and the disc is negligible.

Just got some from Boyd Wheels...58 front and 85 rear...around 1,200 ish with some add-ons...clinchers..just put the 4000s on and i'll try them out tomorrow...seem to be a nice compromise between less expensive china sets and Zipps...they are hand assembled too...Based out of SC...

Just ordered the Sram s60 after carefully reading countless reviews.  Really looking forward to it!

I have a wish list of a Flo 60 and a disk cover on my 40mm Felt TTR3, eventually a 90 rear.

You into building you own disc cover?  I found plastic on-line for $25 but shipping was crazy ($20), still looking for some locally.

Those Boyds look tempting.  Seem to get good reviews too.  I like the idea of Flo wheels, but it might take some time before I can get ahold of a set if I don't get into this second preorder.

So what are your plans for matching tire type (width) for the various wheels mentioned?  All are of different in widths; HED3 narrowest at 19mm, Boyds 21mm, Flo 24mm and finally SRAM at 22m/25mm, which the Conti GP A/F combo seems to be made for!

Is $630 for the SRAM wheelset right? Hard to go wrong with that price!

A good measure for discount bike/part retailers is to click the "Contact Us" link prior to ordering. I would imagine you would be out the $630, with no wheels to show in this case.

Yeah I probably wouldn't buy from a site located in:

Jl Teuku Umar No.18 Tanjung Karang 3.
Bandar Lampung 35111

In terms of wheels I also have been looking in the same range and have decided on Boyd 58 / 85.   I didn't want to deal w waiting etc from FLO and until now didn't know much about SRam wheels, but they look pretty good.

Boyd customer service from what I have dealt with is also very good and they even were willing to help my team.

FLO's... hands down.  I don't think it's too late to get in on the next pre-order.  They are amazing.
