Good morning BT. I hate starting these threads because I worry someone else will do it at the same time and there will be two. TYPE FAST!!

Ran the first local 5k! Poorly organized, but it's their first, so I will leave feedback and hope they host another. I live in a small town, so they had to add some small side streets to make "the loop" around town 5k! Registration was $10 and proceeds went to fund the town fireworks tonight, which are spectacular, and I come from a big city with fancy fireworks, so I'm extra impressed.

Ran it in about 29 minutes 52 or something, they didn't have a clock. It's a PR for me, and I'm sure I could have done better if only I was able to pass people more easily on the sidewalks. Anyway, I'm happy to still PR, and I'm happy more people showed up than I anticipated. Hopefully this will encourage more runners and races in town.

Happy Saturday! Best of luck to those racing this weekend. Now to catch the replay of the women's and men's olympic triathlons!

Congrats on your race and your PR. Enjoy the fireworks tonight, they are always fun!!

Biked an hour and a half this morning for 18 miles, not bad for an old XXXL Clydesdale.

Have a great Saturday!!

Haha, me too! And nice job on the 5k!

Fight Club on the Trainer. Pressed for time today, so up early. Hit it hard & fast. 95-98% FTP for each. Wanted 100%, but couldn't get there. Every attack was still 400+ watts. HR went up faster and was noticeably higher than normal, so I'm probably carrying more fatigue than I realize. Going to skip a short run later because of that. I've been dragging a bit, so rest is going to get me back on top of that to hit these how I want to.

I have the 19th Annual Santa Claus Half Marathon in North Pole, AK. It will be a PR for me since it will be my first. Then I am relaxing the rest of the day.

A brilliant morning.. A small team of us rode the Westchester Tri bike course. 26 miles. New frame and set-up.. Felt pretty good. Perhaps a few more times around the course and I'll be back.
Was supposed to BRik, but was pressed for time and did not run, tho I really wanted too.

1 hour and 15 minute run in zone 1 today.  I raced a slug for about a mile until the sun came out and dried him up.

Started my ride with a friend and my fiancee at a very relaxed paced...Together we did about 35. From the "drop off" point, I went out and did another 38 miles on my own including an intense 8 mile climb straight up to the TV towers. 4200 ft elevation gain and 108 degrees!!

Got home beat, ate some Pei Wei and watched the Women's Triathlon on DVR...
