Anyone doing the Waupaca Tri - August 19th

Member  43  Cheese Country |  Subject: Anyone doing the Waupaca Tri - August 19thHello! This will be my frst tri. I guess it's a "sprint" however is a loooooong sprint compared to the traditional sprints: 1/2 Mile Swim; 20 Mile Bike, 3.1 Mile Run. It's an annual thing for Wuapaca, brings in quite a crowd. http://www.waupacaareatriathlon.com/ Now that I've been finding other sprints I think I'm also doing the shorter sprint in Fremont and it's 1 month prior to the waupca so I think it will be a good "litmus test" for my skills.  Now I'm reading all about these others; High Cliff, Green Bay, etc... this rate I'll be doing one a month. Why not? Have a good Sunday! Dez |

Good Friend of mine and I are doing the Mighty Wolf Triathlon on July 1st down in Winneconne. Small race... It would give you some good experience. 400Y 15m 5K. Why don't you come donw and do that one with us? |

You are right too, it'd give me the experience of one under my belt. I am afraid of the sheer mechanics of it all: where do I change, what are the transitions like, where's my bike, how do I find my clothes after, etc... you have the website for it? Thanks! Dez |
