Subject: Planet X 82/101 (Shimano/SRAM) - $600

I'm selling my 82/101 Planet X Carbon Wheelset (Shimano/SRAM). They come mounted with Continental Sprinter Gatorskins, a spare that has never been used, carbon brake pads, valve extensions, and the Planet X front skewer. I've had these wheels for a little over 4 months. They've been used for 1 Olympic, 4 Sprints, and have less then 200 miles on them. I've really enjoyed these wheels; however, I recently purchased a clincher disc wheel and decided to also get a clincher front wheel. Didn't really feel like having to carry a tire and a tube.

Just a heads up... Planet-X has these on sale for $559, so that might be someone hasn't jumped on these already.  Although, you've got 3 tires, which ain't cheap!  Good luck with your sale!

This would be a big purchase for me...training for my first ironman...have 7800 full dura ace on my bike....would my cassette fit? We live in a flat area and nothing to block the wind...how do these handle in the wind? I am interested...

Yes, your cassette would fit these wheels. As for how they handle in the wind, I never had any handling issues. I raced with these at Memphis in May which is flat and windy; and ended up setting a PR for my bike split at 24.1 mph average!!

That's a killer deal. To bad I weigh to much to use these. 240lbs and carbon don't mix from what I hear..  GLWTS.  Surprised they are not sold yet..
