I've completed the firt two lessons with Anne Wilson. Believe me, she is as awesome a swim coach as everybody says she is.
Here's my problem. I need access to a pool that is deep enough to do the verticle kick drill. The lap pool at the gym I usually train at (LA Fitness) is only 3-4 feet deep. The pool at Pecos Park is deep enough but they're only open on weekends right now and will soon be shut down until next spring.
I live in the Ahwatukee area. Does anybody know of a club with a pool that is 7+ feet deep and has a rate for swimming only? The LA fitness I go to is very convenient to my home and I don't really want to change gyms.

Any of the Scottsdale public pools would be deep enough although I'm not sure if they'd let you do vertical kick drills in the same area as the diving board. I'd suspect if you stayed off to the side you would be ok. Eldorado is closed for a few more weeks but Chapparal is open during the closure.

Hey, I agree Anne is a great instructor. I don't have an answer to your question, sorry. I have taken four lessons with her so far and yesterday we worked on better kick integration. She's also trying to get my stroke rate up from 40 to 50. I did a few 50's and got good 50yds at 33 and 32 seconds but it's very tiring. It was when I met inbetween at about 44 that I got my new PR. Today, I got a PR for 100yds at 1:18, reduced it by 5 seconds from previous attempts. Just keep up the work, she'll get you swimming fast.

How's the rehab and valdora? have you chosen an inagural race yet?
