I know it's not a triathlon event but my wife and I have done this since we've been together and she 3 years before. Any one here plan on running the CRIM?

Your timing for this post is perfect!  A couple days ago I came across a youtube video of a local runner talking about her future races.  She added at the end, "oh, and CRIM, everyone does CRIM." Well... I have now been wondering... why is it that "everyone" does CRIM?  What makes it special?

16,000 runners make it special but even more than that the whole atmosphere throughout the race is incredible. All along the route there are people giving encouragement along with bands and people on loudspeakers. Even a couple of places along the route where instead of water they provide you with beer! You can do anything from the 5K to the 10 mile to an 8K walk. I have yet to run an event that is as much fun as the Crim. Oh...and the Kenyans.....can't forget the Kenyans; of course they are done before I get to mile 5.

It's a great race, the beer is great, the people are great, the atmosphere is great.

so....for those who did the Crim....how did you do? did the heat and humidity bother you at all? This is the first one I did that I was at least somewhat in shape for but without being able to run for the last 4-5 weeks the Bradley's kicked my butt!
