I thought I might have a chance at trying to run the table and sneak in but apparently my team decided to take a dump on me this week.

You earned it Mike!   I knew I was beat when Brees threw that TD to Thomas.

I live to fight another day! Don't look now but after starting 0-5, I've climbed to 4-6 and only 1 game out of a playoff spot.

one game out of a playoff spot, while accurate, is extremely optimistic, considering you have four teams ahead of you vieing (vying?) for that last (6th) playoff spot. Realistically, you're two games out because your so far behind on points.

Not to crush your dreams or anything...

No one can rain on my parade now. 0-5 to 4-6 is all I care about. I figured awhile ago I had to win out to have a shot and so far I'm sticking to the plan. I think I have a solid lineup now that could make a real push towards the end with Andre Brown looking great and Harvin getting some playing time here.

I think I'm pretty much F'ed... Arian Foster done for the year. Not that he was worth a hill of beans anyway. I had a pretty good draft and ended up in the middle of the pack again. Sort of like life!!!

I was looking through the schedule and I noticed we don't have to play every other team in the league. That's odd.

How do the playoffs work? The settings show 6 teams . Isn't it usually 8 so the last three weeks go 8 teams, 4 teams then 2 teams or is it some sort of round robin?

Well, in this game, especially in this league, anything can happen. Dante' went from 5th to 1st in just this last week. I'm 6-4 and by no means am I guaranteed a playoff spot. Three games left makes it still wide open. Odds are almost equal for me to finish 1st or 10th, or any spot in between.

I think Injuries have had a substantial affect on fantasy this year. So many big names going down all season.

In my other $$ league   I'm  in 1st overall.  Ok that is not the news.   Someone waived Gio Bernard. So I naturally claimed him thinking no way I end up with my claim going through but it DID!  ha    Like that would happen in THIS league.  Not a chance.

The thing that is great about FF (or completely sucks) is the blind luck of it. Yes, there are people who pour over stats, etc and yes, there are people who are likely more knowledgeable about it, but I still say that luck is involved.

Moose Knuckles has scored 1099pts and is in 9th place, I've scored 1111pts and am in 1st (and he's given up less points than me too).

Yeah, there is some luck. Those who drafted Spiller, Martin, Rodgers, Julio, Foster, Rice can all attest to that. A few of those guys might have had a concern or two prior to the season, but it's still bad luck.

Agreed luck plays a huge role in standings, but if you look at my teams for the last four weeks (I say teams because I keep shaking out my roster) they continually underperform compared to their expected points. Most weeks I'm at least 20% lower than forecasted. Perhaps it's optimistic on behalf of the "experts" but I use Yahoo, ESPN, and CBS to set my lineups in this league.

I'm regretting my decision to reduce the number of playoff teams to 6. I look at my team and think if I could just get into the playoffs I could make some noise. I just don't know if I get to 8-6 if that is going to cut it.

After a little bit of sweating tonight Brady stepped up and it looks like I should move up to 6-6. Just need the cards to start falling in my favor the next 2 weeks.
