Tibialis Anterior Tendinopathy

I've got a sprint in 17 days, Dunmow Triathlon (www.dunmowtri.co.uk), but have been diagnosed (2 days ago) with Tibialis Anterior Tendinopathy.  Basically it's tendonitis in the front of the ankle/foot.  Hopefully rest and ice will alliviate the symptoms and allow me to be fit enough to compete. 

I was wondering whether anyone has had the same injury and if there is a waterproof ankle support that I could wear throughout the race that is available in the UK?
