Subject: Bike Shorts vs. Tri Shorts
I have watched the forum for about 6 months now and this is my first post. I have found the forums very helpful. I have done 2 10K's and the LA Marathon. I wanted to do something that would take advantage of my bike crosstraining... so I registered for a dualathon. Here is my question...

Any difference between bike shorts and tri shorts? Also, since it is my first run-bike-run, if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Well I do not know all the differences but the most obvious is the chamois size in the tri shorts is much smaller and thinner so it can dry quicker and not inhibit your running. Thats all I know ..I am sure there might be some more reasons so maybe others will chime in.

Also, at least the ones I have, bike shorts are cut to be worn bent over whereas tri short have a more straight cut.
