Subject: Silencing SPD cleat mount.
Bought some tri-shoes and they have the spd option that I won't be using.

However, the mounts move and are noisy so I can't just leave them like that... right?

So I'm looking for a solution, thought about gluing them but I'm afraid the glue will break some day for no reason and the noise will come back, also I'm not sure if it's safe and wont damage the sole.

Anyone been there before and has a solution?

I asked around to friends and family and my father came up with a good solution I think, clear marine silicone. Supposed to bonds to fiberglass, wood, metal glass and most plastics(that's what written on the tube.) also, since it's a marine type silicone, it's fully waterproof and wont unstick if it rains or if my foot are too wet. lol. Silicone being rubbery should at least dampen the sound if it doesn't stick so I think it will do the trick.

The silicone is currently drying. I hope it's going to work well.
