Subject: Newbie looking for ppl to train/race with!
Hi! I have been running for a while now but finally made the decision to tri! I am excited and overwhelmed! I've been lucky to get lots of good advice from strangers. I would love to find a triathlon team to work with. My friend was part of Team Z in Maryland. It seemed like a fun way to train and make new friends! Any advice for female begginers would be great...i.e gear, schedules, books to read....

Hi Payal! Welcome to BT and triathlon.

Try posting in the D.C., Virginia and Maryland forums here for info about groups.

Also if you click BEGINNERS under Programs top left, the first article is our Beginners Guide. It's great info!
