Run
Comments: What an amazing run. This was a combination of single track and small two track roads. It finished on a big dirt road that made it seem really long. This race started by going up some huge hills that almost everyone walked. Sounded like a good idea to me because we still had 30 miles to run! When you get to the top of the initial hills there was some great rolling single track. I got a little to excited about this and really started hauling @ss. I love running on single track, up until the point that I took a very nasty fall at mile 9 and bloodied up my knee pretty good. It actually just gave me some "cool points" going through the aid stations. Things were going really good up until about mile 18 when my calves started to cramp up really bad. My arms were also cramping up. I started taking those mineral tablets and drinking more water than I thought was possible. The aid stations on this race were awesome! They were packed full of food like chips, candy, boiled potatoes, bacon. Perfect, because I was getting really hungry and my Cliff shot's just were not filling me up. :) Post race
Warm down: I sat in the creek, felt really good. What limited your ability to perform faster: The downhill running on this race was very hard on my legs. Event comments: This was the best race I have ever been to. The aid stations were awesome. The people were great and the amount of food in these remote locations were amazing. This is a must do race, the views of the Bighorn mountains was unforgettable. Think of it as an aided run through the Bighorn Mountains. Last updated: 2006-03-30 12:00 AM

Took a bus for an hour long drive into the Wy wilderness! Very bumpy. It was funny becuase everyone was drinking water and eating, by the time we arrived at Dry Fork (race start) everyone was ready to explode.
Looked at the big hill we were going to start on.
