Good morning BT!

4:15am:  1:30/27.50 miles on the KK

Off to school to get ready for what will surely be a doozy of a day!  I love this someecard quote:
"I'm so glad Halloween falls in the middle of the week," said no teacher ever.  Sooooo true!

Have a fun day!

 Morning all Happy Halloween

Off to the pool for me again today, didn't get that trainer ride in last night as the wife wanted to go do some shopping after supper, so I will see if I can get that done tonight as well. WE don't get many trick or treaters and the weather is supposed to be horrid so I expect it to be mostly over by 7:30 to 8:00 that should leave some time to workout.

Have  a great day all and Happy Haunting.

I'm off work this week so took advantage to check out a thing here called vias verdes. They're old railroad track routes that have been paved over for bike paths. This morning did a 30 k out and back through olive groves and around a huge quarry. Very scenic. Beats working any day...

Due to a back injury I am not allowed to run, bike, or lift this week and maybe next week as well.   The doctor said I could swim as long as I don't overdo it and "no flip turns!"

Think we will be mad at me today when I tell him that:

10/31/12, 4:30am - 4,000 meter LSD (Long Slow Distance) swim in the lap pool (1:21:52).

Ugh....so glad that Halloween is already over here. Hour plus of festivities at school today. I was a triathlete--not terribly creative but the kids always beg me to wear my trisuit to school. 2000m swim. I broke the 2:00/100m "barrier" after weeks of one-armed flapping due to elbow injury, can now swim freestyle normally with fins. There's nothing like screwing up one arm to force you to master breathing on the opposite side from normal. So on the plus side, I now have beautiful bilateral breathing. On the minus side, one very weak arm and minimal swim fitness. Sigh. 50 minutes of trainer Jorge plan torture later; heading to bed. Happy Halloween, all!

7.75 mile run this morning- beautiful weather here. Sandy is pulling down some very cool and dry air for us in Florida. We have had our share of hurricanes, thinking about those in the northeast, I feel for ya.

2500m swim this afternoon.

Fifth graders....and mainly the girls. It's some kind of fascination with seeing the teacher in her alter ego form.  I also have "fans" (elementary kids) who try to sneak into the gym or pool to catch me doing a workout!

Gym closed because of loss of power due to the Hurricane.  Probably closed for a week.  Tough to run outside because of debris.  So, an unplanned week off.

8 miles in the eerie, cold darkness this morning. I am just glad the mowed down the corn fields I run by cause nothing good ever comes out of a corn field!

Ran a new PR for my 5K over lunch today (at least according to Mr. Garmin) and then did 1,000 yards in the pool.

Taking 3 boys trick-or-treating tonight.  That's when the workout really begins.

Just a quick short swim today.  I seem to have lost all motivation.
